Who we are
Picnic Studio started in 2023, founded by Billy Martin, with a mission to create a fun, playful, and colourful queer tattoo studio here in Bristol. We wanted a place where creativity could thrive, and where tattoos, art, and queer joy could coexist in one space.
Most of our residents are illustrators with a love for art fairs, comics, zines, artists’ books, and all things weird.
Now, alongside our tattoo studio, we’ve launched Picnic Comic, an online store where we celebrate independent comics, zines, and artist books.
Soon, we’ll be opening a shop in Bristol that brings it all together. Until then, come hang with us online or come get a tattoo at the studio!
